CHF 250,000 for a work by Joseph Sima

The December sale totalled CHF 2.9 million, with 82% of lots sold!

The online-only sale confirmed its success, with 82% of lots sold and an increase in the average price per lot.

Joseph Sima's Inintelligible sans fond II, with its powerful abstraction, attracted a great deal of interest and sold for CHF 250,000.

Bernard Buffet's Azay-le-Rideau, which captures the French artist's distinctive style, also fetched a remarkable price. Balthasar van der Ast's baroque still life Nature morte, with its precision and symbolism, was also highly prized.

Another highlight was the tapestry Widow (1968) by Jagoda Buic - two of whose works we have already had the privilege of showing this year.
